LG Video Wall FEATURES
VIRTUALLY SEAMLESS 120” CLASS SCREEN
The seam size of one side of the 60” class screen is only 2mm thick. In a 2×2 Multi-Vision setup, this virtually
seamless design brings out the full effect of your content without the distraction that thicker bezels can cause.
APC (AUTO PICTURE CALIBRATOR)
The most important factor on considerably larger screens like the Multi-Vision is picture uniformity within all four display sections. LG’s plasma APC System automatically calibrates brightness, color temperature and gamma curve to represent natural, vivid images on the unit set.
LG’s plasma display has the technology to calibrate a unit display set to maintain a uniform picture. Each display in the Multi-Vision setup exchanges APL (Average Picture Level) information with each other at the same time. The controller (APC) then feeds back the appropriate picture level to each display. The result is a more unified image on the 2×2 screen.
Major Calibrated Items
• Brightness
• Color Temperature
• Gamma Curve
SUPERIOR PICTURE QUALITY & PERFORMANCES
LG’s advanced 600Hz Subfield Driving technology helps reduce motion blur, judder and artifacts even during fast action sequences in movies, sports, games and video games.
LG’s plasmas are engineered with self-illuminating pixels and a fast response time of 0.001ms which reacts to changes on the screen with outstanding precision. This translates into remarkably fast-moving pictures with virtually zero motion blur.
Pictures enhanced by dynamic mega contrast ratio are exceptionally clear and crisp with reduced optical glare and light reflection. Darks are deeper, whites are brighter.
LG’s latest generation of plasma panels combines improved brightness and considerably low black levels to maintain more vivid and natural colors for on-screen images.
Realistic colors are combined with a wide viewing angle to help preserve picture clarity. The wide viewing angle provides a superior view able image from almost any direction.
LG’s plasma displays reproduce more natural and accurate color based on a reference monitor and a standard color map. This approach allows for better levels of colors and generates images with exceptionally rich colors.
LG’s plasma displays are engineered to provide a display life of up to 60,000 hours, giving you years of entertainment.
White and color uniformity is a strong point for LG plasma displays. Whites remain brighter all throughout the screen while richer colors come through with natural realism.
ANTI BURN-IN PROTECTION (ISM)
LG’s plasma displays provide an anti burn-in protection function, which has several types of ISM (Image Sticking Minimization) protection modes to dramatically reduce burn-in.
Picture brightness will automatically dim if the image on the screen does not change
within a set period of time (defined by user).By dimming the screen, Brightness Control can reduce image burn-in.
LG Video Wall ECO FEATURES
The Multi-Vision provides several technologies to cut down on energy costs. By lowering the backlight settings,
either automatically or manually, a reduction in power consumption is achieved resulting in energy savings and
lower operating costs. For example, Cell Dimming reduces power consumption by lowering the brightness of
individual cells.
CELL DIMMING
This method is a cutting edge technology for Flat Panel Displays that improves picture quality and helps reduce
power consumption. This method can adjust and control the brightness of all 3,144,960 cells in our 60” class plasma panel. Conventional Local Dimming can only control the brightness of backlights in blocks while LG’s Cell Dimming method controls over 300 million individual cells which helps optimize picture quality while saving energy.
To display white in a plasma panel, each Red, Green and Blue cells are turned on simultaneously. To display red,
only the red cells will be turned on while the green and blue cells will be turned off. In other words, only the red
cells will expend electric power while the other cells are not charged.
